At breakfast or tea-time, children will love our traditional brioche, shaped like a chef's hat, known as 'gâteau battu'. If you want to sample one of the best 'gâteaux battus' (traditional local brioche) in the Somme, then come along to the Boulangerie de Francis (Fréville). He uses his grandfather's recipe - it's a family affair. And Francis' little secret? Using only natural ingredients. Traditionally eaten with 'argousier' (sea buckthorn) jam.
