With 558 miles of watercourses and 6000 ha of lakes, every imaginable type of fishing is catered for... The Somme has always been well known as a land of traditions.

Several species of fish, both carnivorous and cyprinids, swim in our peaceful, wild and teeming waters, where you have only to soak up the atmosphere and enjoy some good fishing .

The Somme has always been well known as a land of traditions. Its reputation for fishing is even more firmly established since this area offers infinite possibilities for practising all forms of angling.

The fishing sites

Le Domaine des îles in Offoy

An exceptional site in Upper Somme Valley. The 60 acres of water on this private estate plays host to about 1,000 specimen carp upto 66lbs, with almost one hundred in the 40 to 60lb bracket. The complex, which is located within the most gorgeous settings, consists of three lakes which originally where all connected to each other by channels where the carp could move from lake to lake, however to enhance the quality of the fishing the channels have been blocked off so that we can offer differant styles of fishing.
You don't need a fishing licence.

Fishes : carps, pikes, silurids, coarse fishing.
Area : 35 hectares including 18 hectares water.
Type of fishing : schedules : week-end, week, mid-week. Only day fishing for coarse fishing and pike fishing.
Services on the spot : car park, toilets and showers, shelters on sites with electricity and fridge.
Accommodation : you have the choice between big chalets (4pers), small chalets (2 à 4 pers) and Lodge (7 pers). Possible bivy for night's carp.

Le Vivier d'Omignon in Saint-Christ-Briost

In the Upper Somme Valley, several ponds are located in a nice greenery area and welcome confirmed or beginners anglers, families, groups and work's councils. Children are welcome to fish in a special pond. Suitable for persons with restricted mobility.

Fishes : salmons, trouts bred in source water
Area : 4 ponds located on 2,8 hectares
Type of fishing : schedules : day and half-day.
Services on the spot : toilets, car park, bar and restaurant, friterie (chips shop), ice-creams, pic-nic area, games area...
Accommodation : you can find a comfortable chalet on the spot.
Opening times : everyday except Tuesday. Annual closing from December 15 to January 15.

Accommodation : you can find self-cattering cottage in the village.

La Truite Saint-Martin in the Authie Valley

Close to the Picardy coast, at the limit of Somme and Pas-de-Calais, le domaine de la truite Saint-Martin is a vast area located in a countryside and marshes landscape. Welcome of groups, work's council. On the spot, you'll find several sites with shelters, table and chairs, barbecue and electricity.

Fishes : white fishes, carnivoras, carps and trouts.
Area : 12 stretches of water from 100 to 4000m² located on an area of around 1,5 hectare.
Type of fishing : schedules : day and half day. Possible season ticket. Night fishing, tombola fishing, special days, trouts' days... Fly fishing possible.
Services on the spot : toilets, car park, catering, sale of baits and small fishing tackle.
Accommodation : many campsites and self-catering cottages around.
Opening times : March 21 to November 1st from 7.30 am till 7 pm.
