This centre, now run by the Souvenir Français, is the capital of remembrance of the French participation in the Battle of the Somme. The graveyard which surrounds it is the biggest French necropolis in the Somme. It's the testimony to the violent fighting during the last 3 months of attack (September-November 1916).
