You will like
The only complete 18th century Cistercian abbey in France. Originally built in the 12th century, it was totally rebuilt in the 17th century after a number of historical events contributed to its prosperity. The reconstruction work resulted in a gem of Baroque art, due in part to the work of the Austrian sculptor, Pfaffenhoffen. After touring the abbey, be sure to take a walk in its formal French gardens! This outstanding site combines monastic simplicity with the world of rococo: the organ case, hanging angels, high altar, drawing rooms with rocaille woodwork will all surprise you.
