The latest starting point for a boat tour in the hortillonnages far from the beaten track. This brand new south pier is located in the heart of one of the most beautiful ecological landscaped areas of the hortillonnages. On the 28 000 m2 of gardens divided into plots, separated by canals of hortillonnages, discover the "floating gardens" in the heart of Amiens. These former swamps transformed by the hand of man, the hortillonnages market gardeners who still today, produce vegetables in this maze of islands and nearly 65 km of canals.

The Jardin des Vertueux is a restoration project. For 13 years, volunteers from Amiens have been working to give it back a meaning by combining ecology, aesthetics, production of organic vegetables and education. Discover the hortillonnages from the inside, taste a wonderful mint tea freshly picked in the garden, play with violet the donkey of the garden and finally stroll in an electric boat for a total immersion in one of the most beautiful marshes of France.
