Marais de Tirancourt

In the heart of the middle valley of the Somme, the Marais de Tirancourt is located in the communes of La Chaussée-Tirancourt, Ailly-sur-Somme and Breilly.

Bordered by the Samara estate and to the south by the Somme, this natural site, with its wild and preserved character, is home to a great diversity of environments and several animal and plant species typical of alkaline peat marshes, species that are often rare and threatened.

Among the most emblematic species of this marsh is the Great Moat Buttercup, a protected buttercup more than 1 metre high, which has significant populations here

During your walk, keep your eyes open and you may see the Fjord horses or Nantes cows grazing the site for part of the year.
