On the first floor of the Town Hall at Doullens, the 'Salle du Commandement Unique' is an historic room in which, on 26th March 1918, command of the Allied armies was entrusted to General Foch. This decisive act led to the Armistice of 11th November 1918. A stained glass window by Gérard Ansart and frescoes by Jonas, the famous war artist, bear witness to this momentous occasion.
