Eglise Saint-Martin - Vaudricourt

19th century church belonging to parish of St-Eloi-en-Vimeu and the Amiens diocese. The statuette of Notre-Dame de Foy - a little clay statue, as hard as stone, 22 cm tall -was discovered in 1609 in an oak tree felled by a carpenter, Gilles de Wanlin. Soon afterwards miracles were claimed to have happened: special devotions took place and miraculous deeds were reported. The church also houses one of the few remaining country organs of the region. This type of organ did not need to be built with noble materials, such as ebony, but nevertheless had an excellent sound quality..
