Abbeville is guiding you in the prehistory. All archeologists from the whole world know Abbeville thanks to Boucher de Perthes, who, in the beginning of the 19th century founds Prehistory. You will find remarkable collections on archeology in the Boucher de Perthes Museum located in the Belfry.

All the stained-glass windows of the Saint Sepulcre church inaugurated in 1933 were conceived by Alfred Manessier, one of the biggest not figurative artist. Inspired by the Bay of Somme lights, his work is subtle. The Saint Sepulcre stained-glass windows bring a new perspective to you depending on the hour of the day and the season.

The Saint Vulfran Collegiate built between 1488 and 1663 on stilts is today a fine example of the gothic architecture in the North of France because of its remarkable facade and its treasures : statues, stained-glass…

This is in the heart of the Belfry built in 1209 that you can see the collections of the Boucher de Perthes Museum witnesses of a rich archeological past but also the works of the sculpture in Picardy and the Northern schools.

Open every day from 2 to 6 pm (In July and August open from 10 to 12 am and 2 to 6 pm) closed on Tuesdays and some holidays.
