Hôtel d'Emonville - Archives et bibliothèque patrimoniale

The Archives and the Heritage Library occupy the entirety of the Hôtel d'Emonville: 5 floors of 200 m2 each and 5 km of shelving housing more than 160,000 documents.
In addition, 2 km of contemporary archives are kept in the various departments of the City Hall. Incomparable treasures: the charter of the commune of Abbeville (1184), bulls from the 12th century, the "Evangiles of Saint-Riquier", a remarkable Carolingian manuscript from the 8th century, the "City of God" printed by Pierre Gérard in Abbeville in 1486, etc.
