Larris de la Vallée du Chêne

The 'Larris' (limestone uplands) of Lanches-Saint-Hilaire are located on the eastern side of the dry valley of Le Chêne. The cultivation of its fertile soil and sheep grazing have encouraged the development of a wide variety of plants and wildlife. In the flowering season you may see wild orchids with spectacular shapes and colours, as well as aromatic plants that attract many insects, including butterflies.
