Salle d'Honneur de la Mairie - Cayeux

In 1908 the town council decided to remove all the woodwork which adorned the Old Church at Cayeux-sur-Mer, restore and refit it in the Town Hall. The work was carried out by a local craftsman, Mr Ternisien. By moving this woodwork, the town of Cayeux-sur-Mer preserved its heritage in excellent condition and created the finest ceremonial hall in the region. It can be open to the public - just ask at the Town Hall - and there are guided tours during European Heritage days in September.
