The woodwork that adorned the Old Church of Cayeux-sur-Mer was, by decision of the town council of 1908, entirely dismantled, restored and reinstalled at the Town Hall by a Cayolese craftsman: Mr. Ternisien. Consequently, by moving these wood panelling, the town of Cayeux-sur-Mer was able to preserve its historic heritage in an excellent state of conservation and thus benefit from the most beautiful Town Hall in the region. This room of honour can be opened to the public on request at the Town Hall or on a guided tour during the European Heritage Days, which take place in September.
